Erlangen has long been known as a cycling city. But it’s not just in the city itself, but especially around it that you can discover so much by bike.
So that you and your two-wheeled companion can enjoy the perfect stay with us, we have collected some tips and advice for you here. After all, cycling is not only a lot of fun, it is also one of the most environmentally friendly means of transportation there is.

After an exciting bike tour, do you just leave your bike in a dusty bike cellar? Not with us at Hotel Luise! Your faithful companion gets what it deserves: only the best accommodation. Together with other colleagues, it can wait for the next tour in our cozy bike enclosure.
In keeping with our sustainable hotel concept, we have recycled a lot of materials and the stay is, of course, climate-positive. For hungry e-donkeys, there is a feeding station (e-bike charging station with battery adapters) and a donkey first aid kit is always at the ready.

If your bike needs more extensive care than is possible in a hotel, there are a number of bike stores in Erlangen that can help.

If your bike runs out of air, you will find an air filling station directly at the hotel. Otherwise, you can also inflate it free of charge at the freewheel or the bike crate.

If you don’t have your own bike with you, that’s no problem. Our rental bikes are available to our guests around the clock. This is the perfect way to explore the city center, which is just a donkey’s hop from the hotel.

Rolling hills, picturesque half-timbered towns, unique forests: Franconia has an incredible amount to discover. This is particularly easy to do by bike, as numerous well-developed cycle routes lead through the most beautiful corners of Franconia. It can be difficult to decide which route to take.
